BIBS 1-50 are for the 5KM and 51-100 for the 10KM. You will be allocated a BIB number which stays the same throughout the series. If you want, you make keep the BIB at home in between rounds subject to the following:\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e1. You notify the Winter Handicap organiser you are doing this.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2. You are responsible for bringing it with you for each race round. No BIB = No race. Go round the corner before carefully crossing the road opposite the Police Station. Note, this avoids crossing the road on the bend as there is a lot of traffic leaving the leisure centre around 7 to 7:10 pm.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollow the pavement as it bears left towards Halfords (the pavement is nice and wide here).\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eImmediately after you pass a large red post box on your left (you have probably not noticed this before) and before you reach the junction there is a left turn onto a footpath. Do not miss this!\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eContinue on the footpath until you have passed Costa Coffee. At the Zebra crossing, carefully cross the road towards the train station. \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003ePlease do not cross this road without using the official crossing point\u003c/em\u003e\u003c/strong\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollow the footpath signs for Braunton which will lead you onto the new bridge.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eContinue over the crest of the bridge and follow the footpath at the traffic lights as it bears left into Pottington trading estate.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStay on the pavement, past Parker Hannifin, and take the left hand turn towards the Tarka trail. This stretch of pavement leading up to the turn (you will be able to smell fish from the adjacent filleting factory) is quite bumpy so please be careful here.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTake the footpath all the way back to the square, following the route beside the river along Castle Quay. This area can have a lot of puddles so be prepared for wet feet! The under pass for the bridge can also be slippery so please be careful here.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe route out from the underpass takes the most direct route around the library and back onto old bridge. \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eNote, the route does not go around the Albert Clock\u003c/em\u003e\u003c/strong\u003e!\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eContinue along the old bridge, following the footpath towards the old Leisure Centre. The footpath in front of the Leisure Centre is closed, therefore please safely cross onto the pavement on the other side of the road. It is best to cross at the point of the “footpath closed” sign as there is good visibility of traffic in both directions.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollow, in reverse the same route you took on the way out. Crossing opposite the police station. Be aware of 10K runners coming towards you on their 2nd lap..\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 5km finish will be marked by a cone, or similar. For those doing the 10km, please turn at this point and repeat the whole route again.
