Sunday saw the 6th staging of Dawlish Coasters 'Oh my obelisk' race in South Devon. The course is 10 miles predominantly off road following lanes and footpaths from Dawlish town gradually leading up to the Obelisk on the edge of Haldon Hill.

It was a bit muddy but otherwise perfect for running with a light breeze and overcast skies.

The winning time was approx 1.10.

Will Sherlock finished 49th in 1.30, Simon Oliver 50th, 3 seconds later (I let him win he gets upset otherwise!) And Paula Isaac finished 65th in 1.34.

There were 156 finishers.

A well organised race with a good base at the local leisure centre. Very easy to get to and not too far either from Barnstaple.
