The boys bring home the glory at the Glidden & Squire Cross Country League. The last round took place on the freezing playing fields of St Michaels' School on 7th Feb. The snow had reduced the league to the best 3 races out of 5. The Sam's, Jamie's, Beth & Vicky had been battling it out through the mud and there was everything to play for in the last round. The boys all ran superbly well and finished in the prizes in the overall standings for the under 15 boys; Jamie Shutt 3rd, Jamie Skelton 5th, Sam Gould 6th. 1st boys team. NDAC & the posh schools were no match for our boys.

A surprise early start to the senior race caught Vicky & Pete out, as we were both cheering the boys on and didn't realise our race had started until it was nearly half way through. XC is the most chaotic & disorganised event I have ever done. Still, Pete finished 2nd in the overall standings. Vicky 4th & Beth 1st in the senior ladies & we got 1st ladies team, but I'm not sure who our 3rd member was. I think it was Liz Hall or Jan Gould.
