Three of our members competed in the Sidmouth Festival Run, 10k of woodland paths and scenic tracks, of which the first 1k is a very steep climb up a grass hill and then acsending a flight of steps before a track takes you to the peak of the hill there is a seperate prize for the first male and first female to reach the peak, although none of our runners managed to claim this prize they all gave good accounts of themselves with John Shapland finishing 8th overall and 1st MV50 in a tme of 42.36. Wayne Fennell finished in 57.40 and Sarah Thomas in 1.09.26

The good news was John finished an off road race without falling over, getting caught in barbed wire or going the wrong way
