The inaugural 'Round the Rock ultra marathon' took place on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands on Sat 6th August. 110 runners took part in a 46 mile circuit of the islands coast path. Rough and rugged like the N Devon coast with 3000' of assent. Beautiful bays and beaches to look at en route. Some road, some beach but mostly trails.

Simon Oliver finished in 27th place in 8hrs 49mins. (The winning time was 6.15!) Didn't go to the post race disco.
